Abstract:
Abstract Once the course content and objectives have been selected and sequenced appropriately, the methods (lecture, small-group discussion, e-learning, and so on) and materials (articles, videos, PowerPoint slides, and so on) of instruction need to be selected. Individuals vary, and so do their preferred ways of learning. We think it’s important for instructors to promote maximum learning by considering both the audience characteristics as well as the environment (class size, room acoustics, and so on). While this may not seem practical in every situation, compromises can be made, and incorporating as many techniques as possible will aid the learners so that their preferred mode of learning will be presented at varying times.
