Abstract: Abstract With the globalization of financial services, national interests and inconsistent financial services regulation can contribute to major economic upheavals. Indeed, most would agree that the lack of comprehensive regulation and adequate capital led to the collapse of numerous banking interests in the first decade of the twenty-first century.
