Abstract:
Abstract As noted above, these two formally distinct preparedness strategies may be blended to such an extent that they become indistinct in practice. Indeed, we suggest that any particular tactical action should ideally advance or contribute to both of these strategies at the same time. Moreover, organizations should ideally be able to strike a balance between these two strategies and become more prepared for future change in such a way as simultaneously to extend their operational effectiveness in the present.30
