Your Third Decision – How Broadly Will I Lead?

Robin Ryde

Chapter 4 in Custom-Built Leadership, 2008, pp 124-154 from Palgrave Macmillan

Abstract: Abstract Some years ago I undertook some evaluative work looking at the challenges of government programs designed to tackle deprivation around the world. The places examined included Harlem and the Bronx in New York, inner city London and the slums of central India around Hyderabad. All of the locations examined were undergoing some sort of turnaround, and the purpose of the exercise was to understand what seemed to work best. The models in each country were very different and this in itself was fascinating.
