Chapter 1 in Multinationals in India, 2008, pp 5-22 from Palgrave Macmillan
Abstract:
Abstract This chapter presents the various debates on FDI. Among the many areas of studies in FDI, it outlines the four major areas of research arising out of the two key agents of FDI, namely the investing foreign company and the host country. The discussions of these four major research areas of FDI provide the backdrop for the theme of the book and brings to the fore the relevance of the argument made in the context of the various viewpoints on FDI in India.
