Abstract I am careful; he is perfectionistic; they are obsessional. While psychiatrists and laypeople talk in terms of clinical types, we know all behaviors fall on a continuum from normal and adaptive through to pathological and maladaptive. Often it’s the context that defines or categorizes what is normal or not.
