Chapter 3 in Marketing Revealed, 2008, pp 19-30 from Palgrave Macmillan

Abstract: Abstract During dinner a friend once asked me: “Willem, what would you say is the Tao of marketing?” I had to think about that. “What is the Tao of Tao?” I first asked. Having given the question some thought, my best answer would be that the Tao of marketing, its core idea, is the ability to see through our customers’ eyes, the ability to take the customer’s perspective.
