Conclusion: the Future of EMU
Leila Simona Talani
A chapter in The Future of EMU, 2009, pp 194-197 from Palgrave Macmillan
Abstract:
Abstract The main question this book has sought to answer is whether EMU can lead to the creation of a European supranational community or whether it is likely to collapse and thereby trigger the disruption of the EU project as a whole. The contributors to this volume have adopted various positions with respect to this question. Many chapters sketch scenarios for the future of EMU that are at odds with the conventional wisdom concerning the future trajectory of the euro-zone.
