Abstract:
Abstract The design of economic policy in Chile is often criticized as insensitive to the heterogeneity that is present across its regions. It is claimed that taking the country as an single spatial unit neglects the fact that effects of national policies related to taxes, public spending, and environmental regulation, sometimes generate opposite and unexpected effects in different locations.
