Leader Development Interventions: Action Research
Narendra Laljani
Chapter 6 in Making Strategic Leaders, 2009, pp 143-179 from Palgrave Macmillan
Abstract:
Abstract Phase II findings suggested that formative development experiences occur, in the main, in informal learning environments. However, as suggested in Chapter 5, an exclusive reliance on informal learning processes presents problems of inefficiency, cost, and lack of control, and may be of limited value to organizations and individuals interested in pursuing development in a planned and proactive manner.
