The Human Consequences of Bullying at Work: Common Emotional, Psychological and Physical Reactions to Workplace Bullying

Aryanne Oade

Chapter Chapter 9 in Managing Workplace Bullying, 2009, pp 149-156 from Palgrave Macmillan

Abstract: Abstract We have examined many, many aspects of bullying behavior at work. But one thing we have not considered is the human cost to those of you who have been, or are being bullied. Let’s now do just that. This chapter will examine some of the emotional, psychological and physical consequences you might experience should you be subject to workplace bullying. The aim of the chapter is to help those of you who think that you might be subject to workplace bullying to assess the impact of your experiences and determine what you could do to help yourself.
