Occupied Palestinian Territories

Abstract:
Abstract In the HRI 2008, the situation in the Palestinian territories was described as a political crisis with humanitarian consequences. This description remains fitting for the current paradigm. If anything, the blockade to the Gaza Strip has been intensified both by Israeli policies and by the ruling Palestinian Authority in Ramallah in the context of the internal conflict. In consequence, there has been a documented depletion of basic supplies in the Strip, and the vulnerability and aid dependency of the population have increased.
