Chapter 1 in The Multinational Enterprise Revisited, 2010, pp 1-24 from Palgrave Macmillan
Abstract:
Abstract This book presents the results of more than 30 years of research collaboration. The achievement is quite modest. We began with a problem — how to explain the existence of the multinational enterprise (MNE) and the way that it behaves. We found an answer, in conjunction with other scholars. But the answer to that question only raised new questions. As these questions were answered, so new questions multiplied, and we soon found ourselves with many more questions than we had started with.
