Chapter 9 in Unpaid Work and the Economy, 2010, pp 215-229 from Palgrave Macmillan

Abstract Since the mid-1990s, several TUS have been carried out in developing countries, especially in Africa; several are presently on-going. Methodological issues have been raised and experience has been gained from these various surveys, although this type of survey was originally designed for developed countries.
