Abstract: Abstract President Franklin Delano Roosevelt of often slightly misquoted as saying “There is nothing to fear but fear itself.” But a dash of fear sure makes leadership easier. There is an advantage to fear, from a political perspective. It makes for a more compliant citizenry.
