Diversity, Innovation, and Corporate Strategy

Chapter 2 in Profiting from Diversity, 2010, pp 19-44 from Palgrave Macmillan
Abstract:
Abstract Demographic changes in the workforce and customer populations, combined with global markets and international competition, result in increasingly diverse markets and workplaces. Many diversity specialists argue that competitive advantage can be obtained from acknowledging diversity, internally and externally (Cox, 2001), and if this is true, it would be important for executives to broaden their understanding of both these aspects of diversity and include diversity as an integrated strand within corporate strategy.
