Abstract:
Abstract Globalization, or internationalization, is defined as “the process of increasing involvement in international operations” (Welch & Luostarinen, 1988). A firm’s positioning strategy becomes more and more essential in the context of globalization. It is vital, in terms of value creation and appropriation, for firms coming late to the market to clearly define their mission and identify their strengths. At the same time, however, industrial dynamics also play a critical role. Dynamically monitoring position and making wise moves are critical factors that directly relate to survival and growth.
