Chapter 2 in Ways of Living, 2010, pp 17-32 from Palgrave Macmillan
Abstract:
Abstract This chapter examines lifestyles as patterns of daily life, and explores how differences between societies shape these patterns. We use time-use data to compare people from four countries — Australia, Canada, France and the U.K. — with respect to the consumption activities that characterise daily life.
