Abstract:
Abstract Consideration of the rights of businesses vis-à-vis customs authorities’ decisions and practices, as regards both the international fora for cooperation and regulation of the customs field and the European Union (EU) legal system, has very important implications for international business indeed, although it is apparently far from the core issues of substantial customs law,1 such as tariff classification, customs valuation, rules of origin, customs procedures. It is part of the trade facilitation efforts, which are an increasingly relevant item in the international agenda and internally.
