Abstract: Abstract With the red futures glasses, the captain turns his attention to the future’s possible surprises, to prepare his crew and his ship for them, to protect them and possibly to profit from them through early perception. He recognizes for example, that his ship could be hit by a freak wave or attacked by pirates.
