Chapter Chapter 3 in Big Business, Big Responsibilities, 2010, pp 44-59 from Palgrave Macmillan

Abstract: Abstract It’ s autumn 2009 and the Copenhagen climate summit — an important milestone in the international talks to agree on a global deal to cut carbon emissions — is rapidly approaching. UN Secretary General, Ban Ki-Moon, has warned world leaders that failure to agree on a treaty at the December summit would be morally inexcusable: ‘ The fate of future generations, and the hopes and livelihoods of billions today, rest, literally, with you’,1 he told them at a pre-summit gathering at UN Headquarters in New York.
