Chapter 2 in The Evolution of Creditary Structures and Controls, 2006, pp 24-35 from Palgrave Macmillan

Abstract: Abstract A HISTORIC GENERAL ELECTION was held in the United Kingdom on Thursday, 3rd of May 1979. Future historians may even conclude that it was a turning point in the economic history of the world as well as in the history of the United Kingdom, for much of what was done by the new government elected that day was later imitated in many other countries.
