Chapter 7 in Developing Multicultural Leaders, 2010, pp 107-120 from Palgrave Macmillan
Abstract:
Abstract One of the first things that an effective leader must do exceptionally well, we believe, is to use the appropriate leadership style for different situations. In Chapter 1, we wrote: There is, however, consensus among academics and practitioners that leadership is highly situational and contextual: the leader who succeeds in one context at one point in time will not necessarily succeed in a different context at the same time, or in the same context at a different time, or in different cultures, or even with a different group of followers.
