Abstract:
Abstract The twenty-first century is the century of knowledge-based international economic competition. More than ever, the prosperity of nations depends on the ability of public and private institutions, policies, managers, and workers to mobilize and exploit knowledge-intensive capabilities and assets. Although natural resources play an important role in economic competitiveness, the ability of even resource-rich economies to raise and sustain their citizens’ living standards depends on their ability to exploit the created resources of knowledge and human capital.
