Chapter Chapter 1 in The Female Leadership Paradox, 2011, pp 1-5 from Palgrave Macmillan

Abstract: Abstract This chapter is an overview of the frequently asked questions (FAQs) that were posed during workshops, lectures, and individual conversations. They reflect the dilemmas women encounter in their careers. Some questions are self-evident, and women are actively looking for answers to these. Others are less obvious and only surface during an unexpected turn of events, as when a woman is passed over for a promotion or approached for a less-favored position. It appears that women do not always ask the right questions at the beginning of their career, which may lead to disappointments and surprises later on.
