Abstract:
Abstract The oil exploration and drilling industry has long maintained a reputation of roughnecks, John Wayne-type rugged individuals swiftly executing dangerous procedures in search of a volatile and explosive liquid contained in pressurized pockets beneath the earth’s surface. When things, go wrong, as they occasionally do, a daring Red Adair-type individual sweeps in to explode the runaway well back into the earth.48
