Chapter 3 in Business and Management Practices in Greece, 2011, pp 49-65 from Palgrave Macmillan
Abstract:
Abstract This chapter provides an insight into finance regulation and financial practices and developments in Greece. For the last decade the main thrust of changes at finance level has been the implementation of European legislation, in the context of the financial services action plan, in addition to the modernization of the finance and business environment in line with international practice. However, the international financial crisis and the subsequent deterioration in Greek public finances set a new course for the Greek financial sector which now faces new challenges and different priorities.
