Abstract:
Abstract One could say that modern tourism in Asia rose from the ashes of wars. This adds both colour and controversy to its history. Although war is bad for tourism, it did in fact advance the production of aircraft, which led to the development of modern commercial airplanes that would later be used to transport millions of tourists all over the world. In fact, the first modern passenger aircraft, the Boeing 247, was developed from a modified bomber plane that was customized from among the huge surplus of planes that were left at the end of the First World War. The advent of modern passenger aircraft marked the dawn of commercial aviation and subsequently tourism.
