Chapter 41 in Managing People in a Downturn, 2011, pp 122-124 from Palgrave Macmillan
Abstract:
Abstract Gurus are quick to detect the flavor of the month; the business fad that solves all problems. It is, after all, their lifeline. They find it first; and pass it on to consultants who make their middle-man killing before discarding it to poor trainers. And then it slowly dies. A shelf-life of a decade, perhaps.
