A chapter in Women’s Work, Men’s Cultures, 2011, pp 1-4 from Palgrave Macmillan

Abstract: Abstract Diversity is now an accepted part of the UK corporate agenda, and of all the diversity issues, arguably gender is at the top. Or it should be. Women make up over half the population, 47 percent of the UK workforce, and 57 percent of all graduates, and yet they are still hugely under-represented at the top levels of almost all organizations.1 This is a terrible waste of talent.
