Irrelevant Politics
Paolo D’Anselmi
Chapter 14 in Values and Stakeholders in an Era of Social Responsibility, 2011, pp 168-178 from Palgrave Macmillan
Abstract:
Abstract The skeptical title of this chapter does not aim to be anti-political — that is, that all politics is just a power play, politics are bad and just coffee-shop talk. The title ‘Irrelevant Politics’ aims to be realistic: it has to be considered that politics and its specific embodiment in time and space — the specific polity at hand — may have different degrees and capabilities of affecting the reality it wants to govern.
