Liberation Theology

Chapter 20 in Handbook of Spirituality and Business, 2011, pp 163-170 from Palgrave Macmillan
Abstract:
Abstract Liberation theology indicates the struggle for a just world as the way to meet God. In working and fighting for socioeconomic justice we can experience grace, fulfillment, and joy along with the hardships of struggle. German theologian Dorothee Sölle has explicitly addressed the relevance of liberation theology for people in Western societies. Her theology may help us to deepen the understanding of the processes of socioeconomic and business reform we are involved in and raise our awareness of the spiritual aspects of these transitions.
