The Future Development of Private Equity in Poland

Chapter Chapter 10 in Private Equity in Poland, 2011, pp 185-193 from Palgrave Macmillan
Abstract:
Abstract The next decade of private equity development is likely to confirm the resilience of private equity financing in emerging markets. The current global economic slowdown is likely to result in structural adjustments to the global private equity industry; this will be especially true in emerging market countries, where such changes will be more pronounced. Key structural adjustments could include changing the capital flow allocations of private equity in favor of emerging markets, revising the attitude of private equity toward emerging markets (these countries are likely to become “destination” markets for global investors), improving access to liquidity for limited partners, altering fee structures, and adjusting return expectations.
