Abstract: Abstract Directors found guilty of a bribery offense can expect to receive a jail term from the courts. Two recent cases under existing UK legislation emphasize the risk of the severe penalties directors run if they become involved in corruption, and provide sobering illustrations of how incidents may come to light.
