Chapter 14 in E-Shock 2020, 2011, pp 125-128 from Palgrave Macmillan
Abstract:
Abstract While much as the world focuses on the rapid growth of the internet, the number of online connections, the advent of smart phones, e-commerce and social networking, there is an often-forgotten story. That is the digital divide (Plate 10). While many countries are racing to improve infrastructure, broadband speed and provide government support to develop their digital world, those without the same resources are languishing.
