Abstract After much hype and expectation, the mobile/cell phone has finally “taken of”. At last this device has started to live up to expectations. Apple, with its touch screen magic, has proved to have the initiative to capture everyone’s attention and imagination (Plate 4). And other smart phone providers have rushed to copy.
