Abstract: Abstract There was to be a team meeting. For two days, the production manager had been walking around the team’s workplace, observing their work and checking the production figures. He had not talked to the workers, only to the management-appointed team leader. It was the team leader’s task to act as an intermediary and make sure that management’s wishes were realized by the team. He convened a meeting, which for once was to be held upstairs in a room at the offices. Some protests were heard since smoking was prohibited up there, but to no avail. The meeting started and the team leader said they were all welcome to butt in with their comments whenever they wanted.
