The Satisfied Department

Chapter 5 in Organizational Misbehaviour in the Workplace, 2012, pp 27-30 from Palgrave Macmillan
Abstract:
Abstract When Establishment Printers won a contract for a government Department, senior management decided to introduce a new workflow/information management system. There were two reasons for this. The first was that it would help to achieve production targets. The second related to providing detailed invoices automatically generated by the information system — the Department did not trust the documentation produced by the workers and wanted objective data from the system.
