Intentional Action and Situational Logic

Jan Jonge

Chapter VII in Rethinking Rational Choice Theory, 2012, pp 101-116 from Palgrave Macmillan

Abstract: Abstract The most characteristic feature of neo-classical economics is the attempt to derive all economic behaviour from the actions of individuals seeking to maximize their utility subject to constraints. There are two approaches to which this description applies: the Belief-Desire model, and Popper’s model of Situational Analysis or Situational Logic.
