Chapter Chapter 5 in Managing Challenging Clients, 2012, pp 107-135 from Palgrave Macmillan
Abstract:
Abstract From time to time you are going to meet and work with clients who, however well you work with them and however much you like them as people, have trouble with commitment and responsibility. This client says one thing to your face but then goes away and does something else. They might say they will get certain things done by a specific timescale so you can get on with your job. But they don’t. They might say they will arrange to introduce you to their colleagues so you can get their input to your evolving project plans. But they never do. They might say they will read the status update report, which they have asked you to write and put to them, and then get back to you. But, despite the fact that you chase them for a much=needed response, you never get one.
