Chapter Chapter 8 in Doing the Right Thing, 2012, pp 63-70 from Palgrave Macmillan
Abstract:
Abstract We have seen, through an examination of some of the common problems in business how difficult the life of a manager can be, but at the same time, how it can be highly rewarding when we get it right. Before we look at some strategies that can be employed, it is essential to understand the person who will be implementing them. It is important to reflect on who ‘you’ are as a manager, and what makes ‘you’ work the way you do. In doing this, let us first consider the impact you, as a manager can have on your staff, both good and bad.
