Abstract:
Abstract Traditionally, in economic growth theory much attention is devoted to the factors and conditions for long-term economic growth (Wan, 1971; Todaro, 1994; Barro and Sala-i-Martin, 1995). However, in recent economic studies, we can observe a shift to the concepts of competitive advantages of countries, regions, and companies (e.g. Porter, 1990; Lewis, 2004; Cook et al., 2009) where geographic location and international economy and management issues are taken into consideration.
