Abstract:
Abstract In 2001, when presenting the findings of his review of institutional investment, Paul Myners quoted a prominent pensions personality who described the perception of trusteeship as being like ‘community service, not dissimilar to being a scoutmaster or churchwarden’.1 Although trusteeship may have once fitted this description, it certainly does not now. Indeed, ten years after the Myners Report trustees face a multitude of challenges and an increasingly complex set of possible solutions to these challenges.
