Abstract: Abstract Do physically attractive people have an advantage at work? Are they more likely to be selected, promoted and better paid than their unfortunately less attractive colleagues? Does attractiveness count more than being competent? Is the issue of the occupational and economic consequences of physical attractiveness more significant for women than for men? And if there is face-ism, shape-ism and body-ism at work, should we try to do something about it? Isn’t it all so unfair?
