Abstract: Abstract Financial markets which are at different stages of liberalization, reform, or deregulation are considered developing financial markets. More specifically, these are markets that are in the process of deregulating interest and exchange rates, reducing or eliminating directed and subsidized credit, abolishing commercial banks’ credit ceilings, and removing market entry barriers to financial intermediaries.
