How Demand is Put to the Industry

Patricia M. Hillebrandt

Chapter 8 in Economic Theory and the Construction Industry, 2000, pp 73-85 from Palgrave Macmillan

Abstract: Abstract In order to appreciate the reaction of the industry to the demands upon it, it is necessary to understand the way in which demand is placed. In this chapter a brief description of the construction process is given with emphasis on those aspects which affect the type of theoretical analysis required to understand the behaviour of construction firms.
