A chapter in Welfare Capitalism in Taiwan, 1997, pp 240-246 from Palgrave Macmillan

Abstract: Abstract Our journey through the chapters of this book has taken us through nearly a century of time, from 1895 to 1990. We have explored the interaction between Taiwan’s capitalist development and welfare development from four perspectives: the capitalist world system, state structure, ideology, and social structure.
