Introduction
Anthony Makin
Chapter 1 in International Capital Mobility and External Account Determination, 1994, pp 1-4 from Palgrave Macmillan
Abstract:
Abstract This book examines the causes and consequences of changes in nations’ external account imbalances over recent decades. Contrary to suggesting these imbalances are a source of concern, a major aim of the book is to highlight the international macroeconomic gains which can result from increased international trade in saving.
