Chapter 3 in Foreign Investment in Contemporary Russia, 1994, pp 51-77 from Palgrave Macmillan

Abstract: Abstract A profound restructuring of industry and agriculture has been one of the main objectives of recent social and economic reforms in the Russian Federation. The introduction of new forms of ownership is expected to trigger off serious technological and organisational shifts affecting the size of enterprises, the pattern of the division of labour, the occupational profile of the population, the comparative importance of different industries and sectors of the economy and so on.
