Abstract:
Abstract Given the many business scandals, such as the collapse of Lehman Brothers, Bernie Madoff’s Ponzi Scheme, the Stanford Financial Fallout, the Galleon Greed Scandal among others, which have great negative effects on the social and economic welfare of millions of people in many countries across the globe, the protection of consumers and the integrity of the financial industry is not only a task of relevant regulatory authorities or consumers themselves, but also the social responsibility of businesses.
